Welcome!
San Francisco DBT Center (SFDBT) was incorporated August 2006.
It is led by Deborah Mitchell and Mark Rosenthal – both
of whom have attended the Dialectical Behavior Therapy Intensive
Training Course and Advanced Intensive Training Course through
Behavioral Tech.
Our Goal is to build a therapeutic, loving and transformative
clinical environment to foster and sustain lives worth living.
We offer individual and group psychotherapy in San Francisco.
The San Francisco DBT Center is now offering a Family and Friends Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Group, led by Deborah Mitchell, Ph.D. and Amanda Gale, M.A. Our group is modeled after Marsha Linehan's DBT Family and Friends Skills Group. This group is designed to help develop and improve skills for managing emotions, increasing interpersonal effectiveness, and decreasing ineffective behavior. The ultimate goal is to help individuals manage their reactions effectively, understand their loved ones, and, often times, help transform their relationship(s).The group is appropriate for anyone who needs strategies for relating to challenging people in their lives and who cares about someone who is:
- emotionally intense and sensitive
- has a physical or debilitating illness
- has a mental health diagnosis including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, eating disorders, personality disorders
